Project and Classroom Management
Between 2004 and 2006 I was employed by Lockheed Martin Space Operations on contract to NASA Ames Research Center's Life Sciences division. I was both a technical trainer and education outreach specialist. My manager wrote this evaluation of my work with the organization as well as project management and instructional design skills.
During the fall of 2005 I completed a practicum project at the Learning Consulting company Crawford and Associates International. My supervisor, the Director of Learning Solutions, wrote this evaluation of my work with the company.
While employed as a contractor for NASA, I designed and presented a Human Space Explorer workshop at the national Space Exploration Educators Conference (SEEC) at Space Center Houston. This workshop trained teachers in curriculum developed by NASA and provided them with an overview of how the cardiovascular system responds to spaceflight. The results of a Level 1 evaluation conducted by SEEC are included here.
During the 2002-03 school year, I taught sixth grade math/science at Quimby Oak Middle School in San Jose, California. Attached is an evaluation of my teaching conducted by my principal. He scripted out a 45-minute ecology lesson and compared the lesson to the California Standards of the Teaching Profession.
During the 2001-02 school year, I interned at the Clemmie Gill School of Science and Conservation (SCICON) run by the Tulare County Office of Education. Following the year-long internship at the residential outdoor science school, my supervisors wrote this evaluation of my teaching and leadership skills.
