About Me
I am currently employed as an Instructional Designer with Informatica Corporation. I am responsible for designing the architecture for a new internal learning management system. This involves conducting a skill-gap analysis for each position within the company, creating self- and 360° assessments, mapping existing as well as future learning solutions to each skill, and evaluating the success of the system and individual learning solutions.
Prior to my current position, I worked for Lockheed Martin Space Operations as a technical trainer and education specialist on contract to NASA. I designed training for astronauts about performing life sciences experiments on the space shuttle and on the International Space Station. As an education specialist, I developed curriculum materials based on NASA's space biology research and taught educators how to use these materials in the classroom.
I completed an instructional design internship at the consulting firm Crawford and Associates International. During my time there I created a tool for creating design documents.
Prior to entering the Instructional Technology M.A. program, I taught sixth grade (in traditional and outdoor classrooms) and served as a resident camp leadership director for the Girl Scouts of the San Francisco Bay Area. I also developed and implemented high adventure ropes course curriculum for the Girl Scouts of Santa Clara County.
